Cart Chair

The shopping cart, an everyday object, is the starting point of my reflection. A means of transport and carrying, when not in use, it occupies minimal space while remaining readily available. Why not transpose this principle to a chair?

Inspired by the storage system of carts, the chair nests horizontally without any lifting or tilting effort. The advantage of this arrangement is that an infinite number of chairs can be stacked. This system adapts perfectly to environments like a conference room where space needs to be easily modifiable.

The architecture of the chair is directly influenced by this storage principle. Clean and surprising lines shape a welcoming seat, generous armrests, and a wide backrest. The entire balance of the chair rests on two solid supports offering flexibility and rigidity to the seat.
